Toscano products are manufactured by Dündarlar Makina in Eskişehir, Turkey, across two facilities with a total production area of 50,000 m². We manage our manufacturing stages internally, utilizing CNC-supported processes such as laser cutting, robotic welding, and electrostatic powder coating to ensure consistent quality. Since 1995, we have focused on steady growth and improving our production capacity.

Environmental responsibility and operational efficiency are central to our business. Our facilities are designed to optimize energy consumption, supported by a 2-megawatt solar energy system. Additionally, we implement lean management principles across both our production and administrative areas to streamline our workflow.

To refine our equipment, we utilize 300 hectares of company-owned land located near our facility. These fields serve as a practical training and testing ground for our R&D teams, allowing us to observe our machinery under real soil conditions. We advocate for balanced farming practices and encourage the use of precision agriculture methods in our operations.

Our Roots and Journey

Toscano’s foundations are rooted in a long-standing family tradition of farming that dates back to the 1950s. After years of observing the challenges faced by farmers, our founder established Toscano Agricultural Machinery in 1995 to provide more effective equipment options.

Starting in a modest workshop, our early projects included introducing shredding equipment to a broader market. Following this initial step, our team focused on developing various machinery projects to support farming efficiency. By the early 2000s, Toscano began its transition into international markets, sharing its manufacturing experience with a global audience.

Since its establishment, our facility has significantly expanded its capacity to meet growing demand. Over the years, we have become a recognized name among farmers for our manufacturing capabilities and commitment to quality. The story of Toscano began with our founder, Ruşen Dündar. As a mechanical engineer and the son of a farmer, Mr. Dündar sought to bridge the gap between traditional farming and modern engineering.

Growing up in a farming family, he was encouraged to pursue a higher education. He often recalls a meaningful piece of advice from his late father: “Be whatever you want. If you want to be a farmer, be a well-educated farmer.” Following this path, he combined his academic background in mechanics with his deep-rooted passion for the land. In 1995, this journey led to the establishment of Toscano, with a focus on understanding and addressing the practical challenges faced by farmers.

Following his studies, he observed certain practices in the region’s traditional farming methods that could be improved. One notable issue was stubble burning, which was a common process after the harvest season.

Recognizing that this practice could affect soil health and crop productivity over time, he dedicated himself to researching more sustainable alternatives. During this period, he visited various countries with established agricultural traditions to observe different technical solutions for crop residue management. His goal was to find a practical way to support soil health and help farmers manage their land more effectively.

Following his research, he drew upon his background as a mechanical engineer and his experience from a farming family to take the next step. With the support of his family, he established “Dündarlar Makina”—the manufacturing company behind the Toscano brand.

His first project focused on the production of “shredder machines” to provide an alternative to traditional residue management. This marked the official start of his manufacturing journey, focused on practical solutions for the agricultural sector.

Following a period of dedicated work, the “Shredder Project” was successfully completed. The equipment received positive feedback from farmers and various organizations for its practical benefits in the field.

For his contributions to environment-friendly farming practices and soil preservation, Mr. Dündar was recognized by several institutions. This successful project served as a foundation for the company’s future development. Following the implementation of the shredder machinery, Toscano began to expand its product range and strengthen its presence in the agricultural sector.

During the early years of the company, Mr. Dündar focused his energy on building a solid foundation, often leading the R&D efforts himself. His commitment to continuous improvement allowed the company to introduce various practical solutions to the agricultural sector. These efforts were aimed at supporting crop fertility and providing reliable tools for farmers.

His family often recalls his deep dedication to the workshop and the fields during those formative years. His oldest son shares: “I remember those busy days well; he was always committed to the company’s progress. I am grateful for the foundation he built through his hard work.” This discipline remains a core value of Toscano, as we continue to learn from our past experiences to build a better future for agriculture.

Today, we continue to serve farmers worldwide with a dedicated team of over 500 members. Mr. Dündar remains active in leading our executive team, ensuring that our founding values of hard work and practical engineering continue to guide Toscano’s future.
